Result of the Aughalustia Masters Competition on Sunday 19th April was a win for John Corcoran with 67. In second place was Tony Bambrick also with 67, and third was Sean Tully with 69. The weather played havoc with the Club Scramble on Sunday April 26, which was shortened to 14 holes. The Lady Captain's team of Mary Wright, Mark Frain, Kevin Lynch and Sean McLoughlin soundly trounced all comers and was first back in the clubhouse for a celebratory snack of brack and the craic, which accompanies these social occasions. With the long evenings approaching Scrambles will take place on Friday evenings commencing May 9th at 630pm and visitors are welcome for an enjoyable evening.

Result of the 18 hole Stableford Competition, sponsored by Killoran Travel, held over Saturday and Sunday May 2 & 3 was a win for Michael Gee with 37 points; Christy McCann was second with 35 points. The winner of the Ladies Competition was Nuala Frain.

The Holmpatrick Cup Competition for Ballaghaderreen, sponsored by AIB Bank, was won by Joe Smyth, the Club's Mens President, with a score of 38 points followed closely by Adrian O'Donoghue also with 38 points. Both will progress to represent Ballaghaderreen in the next round of this NCBI run Competition.

Next Sunday sees the playing of the Michael Galvin Memorial Trophy - 18 holes stroke play for Ladies and Gents sponsored by Dooney's Menswear Ballaghaderreen. Club Scrambles recommence for the Summer Friday 15th May at 7pm. All members are welcome to participate followed by Brac & Craic.
