County Roscommon job club launched

Co. Roscommon Job Club was launched by Mr. John Kelly, Mayor of
County Roscommon at its office in Market St., Ballaghaderreen, Co.
Roscommon.
The Project is aimed at unemployed Job Seekers of all ages and
provides training and support in the form of 3 week part-time
courses in job seeking skills, C.V.’s interview preparation, job
search etc. and individual advice and support. A drop in service is
also provided where job seekers can access vacancies, use internet
and get information regarding all issues relating to security
employment. These courses are held in Ballaghaderreen and also
delivered in other locations throughout the County.
The Job Club is sponsored by North West Roscommon Community
Development Project and funded by FÁS.

Saturday night (8th Dec) saw the third annual
combined Tibohine/Fairymount Christmas Social. This year we
decided to make it a two course dinner and this proved to be a great
success, everybody young and old had a great time.
We also had some political support from TD Frank
Feighan and Councillor Michael Creaton who enjoyed themselves on the
night.
We would like to thank Noel Farrell and his team for
the fabulous catering, Dene Lane and his Band for the great music,
all our sponsors, and especially our team of helpers who worked so
hard over the past couple of weeks, but with a hall full of people
and everyone enjoying themselves it was all worthwhile!
