The Fairymount/Tibohine Christmas Dinner party was held on Saturday night 6th December in Tibohine Community Centre. It was the fourth consecutive year for the parishioners of Fairymount and Tibohine to come together for a Christmas celebration. About two hundred people were present despite the sub-zero temperatures and icy road conditions that prevailed over the weekend.
After tucking into a tasty fourcourse meal accompanied by wine for those who wished to indulge, the partygoers enjoyed a great night’s music from Dean Lane and Graceland. Catering was by Noel Farrell and the MC for the occasion was Connie Farrelly. The floor was busy all night as people danced to lots of their favourite hits. There were door prizes, spot prizes and a raffle was also held to help cover the costs. It was a really fabulous night enjoyed by everyone, both young and “young at heart”. The organisers are very grateful to everyone who helped in whatever way to make this important annual social event in the parish such a success yet again. A special thank you is extended to all who donated the prizes. Most of these were local retailers and business people and their goodwill and generosity should be borne in mind by all of us when we are in the market for goods or services especially when we go doing our Christmas Shopping.
